About Marble

Top plates in marble are a natural material, consisting of limestone formed under pressure at a certain temperature through hundreds of millions of years beneath the surface of the earth. This makes each marble top plate unique. Montana marble is imported from Italy.

Care and maintenance

Marble must be saturated in order to prevent grease and dirt from penetrating. This can be done by using an impregnating agent. Soap flakes can be used: dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of soap flakes in 1 litre of hot water, then apply the foam to the top plate and let it stay for 5 minutes without drying out. Then wipe the top plate with a clean, damp cloth. Regular use of soap flakes helps saturate the tabletop. Daily cleaning with a wiped cloth.

Marble does not tolerate acid or other aggressive acid cleaners, including vinegar and lemon juice. If you waste any acid on the top plate, wash it immediately.
