Raw yet elegant, light yet industrial, the Panton Wire unit can be used individually or in combination – on the floor, hanging on the wall, stacked or as room dividers.
The Panton Wire is available in 2 depths, 4 finishes, the tops in 9 finishes and shelves in 6 finishes.

About the series
Panton Wire is made of 5 mm wire, either in chrome or the colours Snow, Black or Monarch. Panton Wire is available in two sizes, the Panton Wire Single that has a width of 34.8 cm and the Panton Wire Extended that has a width of 70 cm. Both modules are available in the two depths 18.8 cm and 34.8 cm. Panton Wire is supplied with feet and clips for combination, and 2 suspension rails.
On the floor, the Panton Wire Single can carry a load of 40 kg or, on the wall with a suspension rail, up to 10 kg. The Panton Wire Extended on both floor and wall can carry a load of max 10 kg evenly placed at top and bottom.
Combine accessories and colours
Panton Wire is a flexible system, and you can combine components and colours in different solutions depending on your wishes and needs. It is possible to create a unique and customised combination, whether you need maximum storage or a smaller shelf. Choose from accessories such as top panels, inlay shelves and suspended shelves in different materials.
The top panels are 12 mm and available in smoked glass, white and black marble, or lacquered MDF in the colours Black, New White, Anthracite, Monarch, Pine and Fjord, and in White Oak veneer. The top panels come with a set of shelf supports in transparent plastic to place between the Panton Wire module and the top panel. They come in sizes suitable for both the Panton Wire Single and the Panton Wire Extended.
The inlay shelves are available in clear glass, 12 mm lacquered MDF in the colours Black, Anthracite, Fjord, New White, Monarch, and in White Oak veneer. These also come in sizes suitable for both the Panton Wire Single and the Panton Wire Extended.
The suspended shelf has a width of 70 cm and a depth of 34.8 cm. It is available in the same colours as the Panton Wire modules, being chrome or powder-coated in Snow, Black or Monarch.
Simple shape and light construction
The Panton Wire is a typical example of Verner Panton’s working method, where design and logic go hand in hand. Verner Panton designed the module with the idea that the wire would catch the surrounding colour.
A shared world of ideas and colours
When Peter J. Lassen, the founder of Montana, first met the young Danish architect Verner Panton in 1956, neither of them was aware that this would be the beginning of a close friendship and life-long collaboration.
Between them arose a constant dialogue about design in which their shared world of ideas was surrounded by great mutual respect. The result was a large number of interesting and innovative pieces of furniture designed by Verner Panton. Some of these are manufactured by Montana today and can be found below.
Verner Panton – created new shapes and challenged the entire colour universe
Verner Panton is considered one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers, not to mention one of the most avant-gardes. During his career, he created innovative and futuristic designs in a variety of materials and in vibrant, exotic colours.
