The Aveny-T chair is a simple and elegant chair, created with a focus on sustainability by designer Anders Engholm, who won DR's 'Denmark's Next Classic' with the chair in 2022. The stylish chair features seat and back made of 100% recycled plastic and a simple black lacquered metal frame.

Aveny-T Chair

Aveny-T has a simple and elegant black lacquered metal frame with a seat and back in recycled plastic. The plastic shells are made from a mix of HDPE (high density polyethylene). The shells are manufactured in Denmark and are 100% recyclable and recycled. The plastic is collected from household waste and companies locally in Denmark and is available in one colour: Multicolour.

The chair was designed with a view to the historic Aveny-T theatre in Frederiksberg. A theatre for a young audience naturally requires a chair that is both functional, minimalist, and expressive. The Aveny-T fulfils this brief with its distinctive design, light appearance, and a modern combination of materials – sustainable recycled plastic moulded in a composite look combined with a single black lacquered metal frame.

The chair is stackable and stacks up to 10 chairs on the floor and 20 on a trolley. The top of the backrest is designed in a way that forms an armrest when you are sitting sideways on the chair.

As soon as I was introduced to Anders' design, I knew it was a chair for Montana. The Aveny-T Chair fits in well with our other products, and the sustainable aspect is in line with our own work with EU Ecolabel, where sustainability is incorporated throughout the product life cycle.

Joakim Lassen, CEO Montana Furniture

A collaboration with a manufacturer was a must to be able to supply 100 chairs to Aveny-T, and the fact that it was Montana is a dream come true. Thanks to Montana, the chair went from my idea to now being available to buy in stores.
