The sheer joy of colours — by Tekla
Following our recent introduction of three new poetic hues to our colour palette, we have invited Swedish multidisciplinary designer and colourist Tekla Evelina Severin to delve into the many possibilities of the new colours Ruby, Acacia, and Clay.
Watch how the colours unfold through Tekla's three scenarios: Bedroom and wardrobe, Living room, and Home office – where everything is carefully selected, positioned, and colour-coordinated to bring joy to the room.
Sweet, dreamy nights with Ruby
Step into Tekla's dreamy, colourful bedroom and wardrobe universe. Our pink newcomer Ruby shows its vibrant, optimistic energy and finds the perfect complement in the calm, warm, grounded Masala. A playful space with a quiet and relaxing vibe, where Cumin graces the walls with a comforting touch of nature.
Joyful pops of colour with Acacia
Tekla's interpretation of the warm and golden Acacia is a creative blend of colours, fabrics, art, furniture, and perfectly colour-coordinated clothes. A bright and bubbly universe, where Acacia takes centre stage but has the perfect companions in the pink and cheerful Ruby, the orangey-red Rosehip, and the soothingly calm Camomile.
Contemporary office vibes with Clay
Join us for a monumental interpretation of the modern workplace. Textures, patterns, colours, and configurations all come together to create a stunning, yet grounded home office. Clay keeps things cool, calm, and confident and is surrounded by the perfect co-workers: the velvety soft brown Hazelnut, the deeply saturated Pine, and a little dash of the sweet, pink Ruby.
Interior architect and photographer
Tekla trained as an interior architect before taking to Instagram to express her frustration with the dominance of bland beige and grey tones in the interiors around her.
Since 2012, her Instagram profile @teklan has been a paean to colour, line and shape. Abstract images, still lifes and wallpaper compete for attention in a grid that readily reminds the viewer of the sheer joy of colour.
